On January 10, 2019, Asian-Pacific Optical Fiber and Cable Industry Association (APC), held its 2019 first working meeting in Suzhou, Jiangsu. Key and decisive leaders from the APC's membership units gathered together, discussed and determined the APC's operation pattern, its localization and development direction, focusing on such issues as "APC’s operational pattern and its details", "APC’s 2019 main working tasks" and "the convening of the 2019 Global Optical Fiber and Cable Conference."
During the meeting, all member units have adopted two resolutions by universal vote:
1)APC will operate in an international way;
2)APC’s daily work will be carried out by an executive committee, the staff of which can be made up in the form of self-recommendation and member recommendation; while APC’s working group will be paid under performance evaluation system.
Finally, the meeting agreed to discuss the details of the 2019 Global Optical Fiber and Cable Conference at the second working meeting in 2019.
